广州市规划和自然资源局对标世界一流CBD建设标准，编制了琶洲西区城市设计，大力推进该片区建设，致力于将其打造为精细化、品质化的高水平城市核心区。经过近10年建设，城市面貌已初步成型，目前在城市天际线、小街区密路网、岭南骑楼、空中连廊、场地设计五大方面取得显著成效。
The Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Planning and Natural Resources has prepared the urban design of Pazhou West District against the world-class CBD construction standards, vigorously promoted the construction of the area, and is committed to building it into a high-level urban core area with refinement and quality. After nearly 10 years of construction, the appearance of the city has taken shape, and remarkable results have been achieved in five aspects: urban skyline, dense road network in small blocks, Lingnan arcade, air corridor, and site design.

一、层次丰富的天际线已初步成形
1. The layered skyline has taken shape
琶洲西区精心布局三重天际层次，与珠江岸线形成和谐对话：一线以海洲路西侧标志性建筑群为视觉焦点，中层天际线以广场与公园周边建筑群为制高点，而远处以中心高层建筑群为顶点，构建了一幅错落有致的三维天际画卷。随着360米高的广商中心大厦的圆满封顶及320米高的南方传媒大厦的火热建设，琶洲西区独具魅力的天际轮廓线已初步成形。
Pazhou West District carefully lays out three layers of skyline, forming a harmonious dialogue with the Pearl River shoreline: the first line is the visual focus of the landmark building complex on the west side of Haizhou Road, the middle skyline is the commanding height of the square and the surrounding buildings of the park, and the central high-rise building complex is the apex in the distance, constructing a staggered three-dimensional skyline. With the successful topping out of the 360-meter-high Canton Commercial Center Tower and the construction of the 320-meter-high Southern Media Tower, the unique skyline of Pazhou West District has taken shape.

二、集约高效的细密路网正逐步构建
2. Intensive and efficient fine road networks are gradually being built
遵循“小街密网”设计原则，琶洲西区的互联网集聚区内已初步建成间距 “80*120米”的密路网，形成了与商务办公街区相适应、兼具效率与弹性的方格道路网络。小尺度街区不仅提升了地块的可达性与交通的便捷性，还增加了积极街道界面，提供更多消费休闲场所。
Following the design principle of “small street dense network”, a dense road network with a spacing of “80*120 meters” has been initially built in the Internet agglomeration area of Pazhou West District, forming a grid road network that is compatible with business office blocks and has both efficiency and elasticity. Small-scale blocks not only improve the accessibility and convenience of transportation, but also increase the positive street interface and provide more consumption and leisure places.

三、适应岭南气候的骑楼街道已具雏形
3. The arcade street adapted to the climate of Lingnan has taken shape
为凸显岭南地域特色、适应岭南湿热多雨的气候，琶洲西区已布局形成展现岭南文化与活力的现代骑楼街道界面。以互联网集聚区为例，已建成4.5m、6m和8m三种典型尺度的骑楼空间。结合首层融入的零售、餐饮、休闲商业、文化、艺术等多样功能，极大地增加了片区内步行的舒适性及区内的景观连续性。
In order to highlight the regional characteristics of Lingnan and adapt to the hot and humid climate of Lingnan, Pazhou West District has laid out a modern arcade street interface that shows Lingnan culture and vitality. Taking the Internet agglomeration area as an example, three typical scale arcade spaces of 4.5m, 6m and 8m have been built. Combined with the various functions of retail, catering, leisure commerce, culture, and art integrated on the first floor, it greatly increases the comfort of walking in the area and the continuity of the landscape in the area.

四、畅通互联的空中连廊已大体构建
4. Smooth and interconnected air corridors have been largely built
互联网创新集聚区的空中连廊已初步形成，整个琶洲西区全部完工后将形成总数15 条、总长度逾1600米的空中连廊系统。通过公共垂直交通模块，空中连廊将与地面层、地下公共空间形成立体步行网络，链接各类商业商务功能空间和公共场所，构建创新资源集聚的骨架。
The air corridor of the Internet innovation cluster has been initially formed, and after the completion of the entire Pazhou West District, a total of 15 air corridor systems with a total length of more than 1,600 meters will be formed. Through the public vertical transportation module, the air corridor will form a three-dimensional pedestrian network with the ground floor and underground public space, linking various commercial functional spaces and public places, and building a skeleton for the agglomeration of innovative resources.

五、红线内外一体化设计的场地成果初显
5. The site results of the integrated design of the red line inside and outside are beginning to appear
琶洲西区地块开发时，鼓励红线内外场地进行一体化设计与施工，景观绿化、广场与慢行道铺装、城市家具以及市政设施的风格、色调和材质应协调统一。并从人的出行体验出发，灵活布置场地的高程设计，退缩带、绿化带、骑行带、步行带、设施带应零高差联通，严格控制设置台阶，确保骑行、步行与设施带之间的平顺过渡，无高差联通，形成无障碍的、安全平顺的场地环境。
When developing the plot in Pazhou West District, the integrated design and construction of sites inside and outside the red line should be encouraged, and the style, color and material of landscape greening, square and slow lane paving, urban furniture and municipal facilities should be coordinated and unified. And starting from people’s travel experience, flexibly arrange the elevation design of the site, and the setback belt, green belt, cycling belt, walking belt, and facility belt should be connected with zero height difference, and strictly control the setting of steps to ensure a smooth transition between cycling, walking and facility belts, without height difference, and form a barrier-free, safe and smooth site environment.
